My name is Angela Heath, a surface design artist from Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm an educator and consultant. My art is inspired by beautiful surfaces and simple designs that exhibit color and texture. 


MIXED MEDIA
I work in mixed media on wood using glass and painting with acrylics and inks. The mixed media pieces are created organically with a general theme and/or color scheme in mind. Wood is used as a substrate because it is the sturdiest and most natural.

Some of my pieces are representational and achieve a textured effect. I love to work with a palette knife to cover canvas and wood with many, many layers of paint.
